PA council may make statement

(Port Angeles) -- The Port Angeles city council plans to issue some kind of public statement this week on the fallout that prompted the city manager to quit.

The council will meet in a special session tomorrow to officially accept manager Mark Madsen's resignation.

They are also expected to put together a public statement regarding the resignation.

Madsen submitted his letter of resignation two weeks ago. The resignation came a week after Madsen issued two memos outlining concerns he had with the actions of certain individual council members. He didn't name any council members. And so far, city council members have stayed mum about who they think the memos were aimed at.
